Japanese giant financial services SBI Holdings is testing the cryptocurrency that users can use to make retail purchases via smartphone.
These tests are conducted in order to understand what opportunities and applicability has Blockchain technology. In addition, referring to the “alleged” developer of cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) Satoshi Nakamoto, the company claims that it is seeking to “improve “the vision of Nakamoto”.
The announcement, made in conjunction with technology startup Orb and Fintech company Glory, indicates that SBI is going to test your new token “S coin” based on the blockchain, which he describes as “calculated value” to “charge and to perform calculations” using a smartphone.
Reportedly, the testing involved employees of the SBI Group, using the platform’s Coin for cashless purchases at cafes and eateries in the SBI offices.
