Hublot is a Swiss company that manufactures wristwatches luxury, has created a unique chronograph, inspired by bitcoin. It can only be purchased with bitcoin, the production of a small party dedicated to the tenth anniversary of bitcoin. The company, founded in 1980, is famous for the production of exclusive (and very expensive) watches from materials such as tantalum, pink gold, gold, titanium, etc.

In April 2005, the company introduced a new collection, the highlight of which was the chronograph “Big Bang” (Big Bang). Collection from Hublot has had success during the year, the number of orders increased three times. The chronograph “Big Bang” earned several international awards: “good design award 2005” Grand Prix “of the Contest Geneva watch manufacturers”, “the Prize for best sports watch” at the “Watch of the year”, held in Japan, and the award for “Best watch of the large size” at the “Watch of the year” in Bahrain.

A new model of the Big Bang is called the “Blockchain”. According to the sales page on the company website, design watches have the “Art of fusion”, combining elements inspired by the cryptocurrency, the well-known “industrial” motives of the company.

Results will be released 210 such chronographs. The number chosen by chance – the release is timed to the tenth anniversary of bitcoin, and also reflects the fact that the supply of bitcoins is limited to 21 million figure

Production of unique chronograph has become possible thanks to the cooperation Hublot with Octagon Strategy Limited (OSL), a large Asian brokerage firm digital assets. While Hublot does not specify a price the Blockchain – prospective purchasers must register and post their details on a specially created for this site OSL, where they will have the opportunity to learn about the cost of the gadget.

To increase the attractiveness of the chronograph in the eyes of fans of the blockchain, Hublot and OSL has published a short whitepaper describing the project and each individual transaction ID (purchase) will be engraved on the wall of the case hours.

It will look like a chronograph Blockchain (illustration from the site).

The novelty reflects the growing trend among contemporary designers and creators of works of art that draw inspiration from cryptocurrencies, in an effort to sozdavat artifacts that are in demand among fans of the cryptocurrency. For example, earlier this year, the artist— conceptualist Kevin Abas, the highest paid photographer in the world, famously created a series of art projects, dedicated to blockchain technology. His audience became, first and foremost, representatives of the crypto community who want to spend their coins on art, representing their main interest.
