August 20 in the town of Kirishi (Leningrad region) opened Russia’s largest mining farm called, Cryptographers! The new company will produce two cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Litecoin.
The news said the founder of Cryptographers Alexei Korolyov:
“Our mining farm is the largest in Russia and the only one that provides a full range of services from cryptocurrency mining service to miners”.
The company has converted for the needs of mining abandoned 20 years ago, a chemical laboratory, in the amount of the project was invested about 500 million rubles! The capacity of the farm is 20 mW, the cryptocurrency is planned to produce 3,000 devices that will yield a daily profit of 1 million rubles (at the current rate of BTC and LTC)!
According to a study by the British audit firm Ernst&Young, Russia takes the third place on volume of production virtual currencies after China and the United States. However, the legal status of cryptocurrencies has not yet been defined: adoption of the law on digital assets scheduled for September 2018. Despite this, the government of the Leningrad region approved the establishment of mining enterprises at the opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Governor Dmitry Yalov.
Leningrad, the miners are not going to rest on our laurels and are already planning to open another farm in an abandoned building nuclear power plants! Will be interesting to see this mix of Stalker and cyberpunk!
