The company Pantera Capital has attracted over $71 million from 90 investors to open a venture Fund focused on the scope of the blockchain and cryptocurrency. The target amount of the project is $175 million, says TechCrunch.
Says partner Paul Verdickt, the new Fund will invest in the cryptocurrency traded on exchanges. In addition, it will use machine learning to algorithmic investing.
“In the field we are interested in are investments in the later stages, therefore we want to be flexible and be able to move with the market,” he said.
Note that Pantera Capital has two venture capital Fund. The first of these, for $13 million, has the structure of a hedge Fund and focuses solely on ICO. The second Fund of the company for $25 million invests in bitcoin.
