SEC United States has postponed a decision on Bitcoin ETF VanEck / SolidX until September 30 of this year, referring to the securities law, according to which SEC has the right to defer consideration of the application in order to better study the proposal.

Offer VanEck / SolidX Bitcoin ETF was filed with the SEC in June. Bitcoin ETF VanEck supported exchange CBOE which advertise the exchange for approval.

“The Commission, in accordance with section 19 of the act(b)(2) designates September 30, 2018 as the date by which the Commission either approves or does not approve, or initiate proceedings to determine whether to disapprove the proposed rule change.”, stated in the notification of the SEC.

The Commission also reserves the right to change this date and extend the duration to a maximum time of 240 days.

Previously, the SEC rejected the application Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust on the creation of a bitcoin ETF.
