Sony Computer Science Laboratories (CSL) has developed a contactless hardware wallet for crypto-currencies based on the technology of IC card.

Module IC card stores encrypted private keys. The crypto does not need to connect to PC via USB port. According to the developers, the technology also allows you to manage private keys for the “use of personal data with the use of the blockchain”.

“It infrastructure technology with many possible applications”, — said the developers of Sony CSL.

They added that their decision was intended to promote the blockchain and to ensure the security of transactions. When the device of Sony will go on sale, is still unknown.
