Study: 60% of Americans accept the use of cryptocurrency in political campaigns

A new study conducted by the analytical Agency Clovr showed that 60% of US citizens want to use the cryptocurrency on a par with Fiat currencies in the funding of political campaigns in the country.

In the study, Clovr interviewed more than a thousand registered voters in order to understand what effect the cryptocurrency can produce the political sphere. As a result, almost 60% of respondents said that scriptactive can be used to Finance Federal elections in the same way as the US dollar, while only 21% of respondents opposed such goals.

In this case, 63% of voters with Republican views suggested that cryptocurrencies are suitable for use in political campaigns. Just think, 52% of respondents supporting the Democratic party. Meanwhile, among undecided voters, an affirmative answer only 45%.

73% of respondents aware about the digital currency believe that cryptocurrency is safe enough for political donations, and only 23% expressed concern about this issue.

With regard to the financial stability of the cryptocurrency in politics, 52% of Republicans believe it’s not a problem. Among Democrats and independent voters also believe 40% and 35%, respectively.

25% of Americans said they would sacrifice money in crypto, if there was such a possibility. More than 20% of Republican voters would sacrifice large amounts of money in bitcoin than in U.S. dollars. Among Democrats and independent voters, the figure was 16% and 12% respectively.

In addition, 60% of respondents said that the use of cryptocurrency would lead to the increase of foreign interference in the election process. Among Democrats this view even more popular.

Additionally, in may of this year, the government of the U.S. state of Colorado admitted that the cryptocurrency can be used for political donations in the region.
