The world’s largest charitable organization, the bill and Melinda gates Foundation announced a partnership with blockchain startup Coil to create payment solutions for those who experience problems with Bank services.
This became known from the tweet the chief technology specialist Fund Miller Abel:
We are partnering w/ @ripple and @coil to implement the #Interledger Protocol & explore ways #Mojaloop can support pro-poor payment systems. #githubuniverse

According to Abel, the organization will work on the implementation of the Protocol Interledger, and explore ways to support “payment services focused on the poor”.
Interledger is a Protocol compatibility, which allows to make payments between different networks. In creating this technology have involved the former Ripple CTO Stefan Thomas. This Protocol currently is the basis of Coil solutions, the company founded by Thomas earlier this year.
About the cooperation of the bill gates Foundation with Ripple became known in October last year. It was also presented AT opensorce called Mojaloop also focused on people who have difficulties with access to traditional financial system.
Apparently, the Foundation will continue supporting the development of solutions Mojaloop Protocol Interledger to execute transactions in real time.
