The sister of Facebook founder and head of Bitmain will work in the Council of blockchain crypto currency exchange Huobi


Randi Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, became a member of the Advisory Board for the development of a public blockchain cryptocurrency exchange Huobi. As an expert for the Council was also joined by CEO of mining company Bitmain Jihan Wu.

The Advisory Board will guide development in the field of blockchain technology to create decentralized applications for industry and commercial modeling. The company Huobi has launched a project called Huobi Chain Project (HCP) in June 2018, it aims at creating a decentralized financial platform, which will be available to both individuals and legal entities. The main functions of the new system include:

  • Trade of assets.
  • Attraction of investments.
  • Securitization (issuance of securities).

Mark Zuckerberg is also interested in bloccano. In may, Facebook formed a group of researchers of the technology of distributed databases, which will determine the possibility of applying the blockchain to the social network. In July of this year, the news Agency Cheddar reported that Facebook plans to launch its own cryptocurrency, however, this information came from an anonymous source.

The leadership of the social network has changed its attitude to digital assets and lifted the ban on the publication of the cryptocurrency ad. Under the new rules, before placement of the banners the company is obliged to undergo the verification procedure and get permission to do so. Facebook checks for licenses, trading activity on the exchanges, as well as all the important information about the start. This measure is intended to protect the interests of consumers and to combat fraud in the blockchain industry!
